Title:The Roller Coaster of Life

Context:

††††††††††† I though of this poem/song when I was in the shower singing.

Poem:

Life is a coaster

where youíre strapped

to your seat

and you canít get off now

because the hillís too steep.

Just when you think

that youíve escape all the thrills

a drop come along and

gives your stomach the chills

Twisting and turning

with no sign of slowing

and though you may wonder

there is no way of knowing

When your ride may

return back to the station

or if youíll fly of the track

because the rail got broken

causí

Life is a coaster

where youíre strapped

to your seat

and you canít get off now

because the hillís too steep.

Meaning:

††††††††††† In this poem I was trying to convey the way that life can surprise you with its twists and turns. The poem is pretty clear with its meaning.Like a roller coaster life can lure a person into a sense of complacency only to drop the person down a cliff at seventy miles per hour. Also like a roller coaster, life has its ups and downs, and sometimes these are completely out of our control.Interestingly I am terrified of anything but the mildest roller coasters.

Form:

††††††††††† I tried to rhyme the last words of at least two sentences in every stanza but I didnít succeed in the second to last stanza.
